The Businesses of Sampford Peverell Volume 2: Industries
Published Nov 2023. The book covers activities ranging from those which have been carried out in Sampford Peverell for centuries, such as milling flour and making cloth, to later industries like quarrying and processing lime, to those which were here in the 20th century: Norrish's creamery, the animal feed business, and the packaging factory. The book contains many illustrations including photos, diagrams and maps. As there are still local people who remember the more recent industries, we have many photos and reminiscences from them too in the book, which we hope you will enjoy.
Price : £7, plus £2.40 for post & packing
