The Good and the Needy of 18th Century Sampford Peverell

This article was inspired by Dr Simon Dixon, who was undertaking a two-year research project into eighteenth-century Devon records. The Sampford Peverell Society set up a twelve-member team to undertake the research for this article. Three of the team went on to write it up, and the whole was edited by another member who had not been involved previously. It was subsequently published in 'Aspects of Devon History - People, Places and Landscapes', the fortieth anniversary book of the Devon History Society.
